The Center for Creative and Applied Media

The Evergreen State College

Project Details

As the cornerstone of The Evergreen State College media study programs, the Center for Creative and Applied Media provides inspired students the guidance and technology to encourage their growth as professionals in animation, audio production, and film.

Studio Meng Strazzara’s design of a modern, flexible, high tech program space supports the instruction and artistry of young storytellers, while meeting the audio-visual needs of faculty and staff across disciplines.

The 10,000 SF Center for Creative and Applied Media is located in the Daniel J. Evans Library on the lush Evergreen campus.

The facility is broken out into five discrete areas to fulfill program requirements, including Media Engineering, Production Control, Experimental Effects Lab, TV/Media Studio, and an Audio Suite with soundstage and sound effects studio.

Interior spaces are designed for ideal acoustical performance, and feature independent environmental controls, custom-built casework, theatrical lighting systems, and carefully planned cable pathways.
